NOTE FOR WEEKEND RIDES: Riders arriving by car are asked to park in the unpaved parking area south of the train station. 0 This ride will do the classic local climbs. Starting with an early sprint through Niles Canyon to Palomares, we will relax on the Palomares climb. Several stops for Bio and water are available, but only as necessary and will be short. We will regroup as necessary. First Bio and water stop will be Laurel Creek Staging Area, we will have a long fast run down Foothill and Calaveras and briefly regroup at the Calaveras False summit (Bio), then proceed back with a quick stop at Jose Higuera Adobe if needed. 0 Please ride safely! Signal or call out for road hazards, passing (always on the left), stopping, slowing, cross traffic, pedestrians, etc. Obey the rules of the road. If there's an incident that requires a ride leader's attention, call ASAP. 0 Please check your bike to make sure it is in good working order. Bring a spare tube (preferably two), a pump, a patch kit, plenty of water, and snacks. This is a no-drop ride and participants are expected to be sufficient in handling minor mechanical issues, e.g. flat tire, chain drop. If you have a problem that will delay your arrival at the next regroup, text a ride leader.
