| "More About Our Club Lanterne Rouge is a team/club comprised of people interested in road, off-road and cyclocross racing. Those of us that are licensed racers with the U.S. Cycling Federation (USCF) are mainly Category 4 & 5 racers (the slowest categories). Basically we tend to be guys with full time jobs and a limited amount of time to devote to cycling. We enjoy racing and do it when we can, but hey, there are other things in life too (the family, the job, the house, the yard, beer, chocolate, sleeping, ....). Membership in L'Equipe Lanterne Rouge is open to anyone interested in cycling and racing. We have no formal requirements for being a member (other than sending in a completed application form, paying your $20 annual dues and buying a really cool team jersey). Club training rides, if you wish to attend, are Tuesday nights and again on Saturdays, if you are not going to a race. All club members are expected to obey traffic signs and ride in a safe and responsible manner. All club members are also required to wear an approved helmet." |
