What a great ride today. Jessie lead a moderate/brisk group
of about 18 riders on a loop from Piner, out to Monte Rio and back
through Sebastopol. We had to nearly stop on Wood to allow
a family of ducks to cross the road and then scared away a buzzard
on Martinelli road, who was feasting on some road kill. Not
a pleasant sight.
The wind was a little brisk when heading north but obviously it
was OK when riding in the southbound direction. We had
two tandems along which was nice when battling the headwind.
The men all stayed at the rear of the pack, as instructed, and the
nice turnout of ladies on this Mothers Day ride was impressive.
Thanks Jessie for leading a wonderful ride.
