We had a nice ride on Sonoma Mountain tonight. There were
the regulars, John Jackson, Wayne Kellam, John and Tom. And
new-comers David and Irene on their tandem and Lahana.
This is a steep little ride over Sonoma Mountain Road and then
back Bennett Valley Rd. to the start at the Bennett Valley Fire
Station. There seemed to be alot of traffic, which was attributed
to school being back in session.
We took it easy on the Sonoma Mountain Road descent and found some
exquisite views from this area. The people who live up there
are very lucky, unless a wildfire gets out-of-control.
David and Irene took a little tumble on their tandem after hitting
some loose gravel but were not hurt. Lahana also went down
in this crash and scraped her elbow but was OK.
See you next week at San Miguel School for the Chalk Hill jaunt.
