Report from the 12/19/98 ride lead by Wendy Page

Wendy organized a last minute ride for today and there were six of us who rode.  These December mornings are pretty cool so we all bundled-up, but after a few miles, it started to warm a bit.

I'm amazed at the number of mountain bikers who were riding at Annadel State Park.   They were parked all over the place and enjoying themselves on the trail, eventhough some of the trails were recently closed to protect them from the winter weather.

We rode past Oakmont and over to Warm Springs Road, then up Sonoma Mountain Road and back to Santa Rosa.  This was the first time some of us had ridden the route in this direction.  The climb up Sonoma Mountain Road was really not as bad as we anticipated, but it is steep in some places.  There were no spills and plenty of thrills coming down the other side.

Thanks to Wendy who took the initiative to organize the ride when there were no other moderate rides in the area and we appreciate her efforts.
