Leader: Steven Payne  stevenmpayne@gmail.com    (510) 995-6327    text Meet at 9:30 am for a 9:40 am start Mandatory pre-registration for members The traditional GPC Mt Diablo route for the New Years Day tradition of climbing our local mound -- we'll go out on the bike path, up the South entrance, and come down through North Gate. There are scores of local riders on the mountain, so it is a great day to climb it. We'll start and end at Calicraft Brewery to wet our lips with a well deserved post ride refreshment -- there is also a food truck. I've listed this as a TM ride, but would welcome others who wish to lead other pace groups. Just let me know and I'll add you as co-leaders. There is plenty of street parking at the start location: 2700 Mitchell Dr, Walnut Creek, CA 94598 or just park in the large lots that serves the brewery (but check the signs, I am not sure whether it is permissible to leave your car there when not at the brewery, which opens at 12 noon). For those new to riding Mount Diablo -- please be sure to bring at a minimum an extra pair of warm gloves that will go over your cycling gloves, a warm jacket, and even a face covering.
